We set off in the morning from Piazzale Michelangelo or directly from your hotel.
After a brief introduction, we take the wheel and follow a scenic road that offers unforgettable views of the Tuscan hills. Our first destination is Badia a Passignano, an ancient monastic complex of extraordinary beauty, harmoniously nestled in the landscape.
Our journey continues to Greve in Chianti, where we pause in the lively arcaded square for a coffee and a short stroll, savoring the authentic atmosphere of the town. Just steps away lies the historic Enoteca Falorni, the largest in Chianti, with more than 140 labels available for tasting. Here we enjoy a guided visit and a delicious lunch, enriched by specialties from the Antica Macelleria Falorni.
The experience is enriched by a visit to the Wine Museum, which tells the story of over two centuries of winemaking tradition, and to the evocative 19th‑century Prosciuttaia, a grotto where Falorni’s celebrated prosciutti still mature today, preserving artisanal knowledge passed down through generations.
In the afternoon, we head south along the legendary Chiantigiana road, immersed in one of Italy’s most spectacular landscapes. After a few kilometers we reach Panzano, overlooking a valley that produces some of Tuscany’s most renowned wines.
We continue driving south through a thrilling succession of vineyards, olive groves, castles, and medieval villages, entering the territory of Chianti Senese to arrive at Castellina in Chianti. Crossing gentle hills that offer magnificent views of the countryside, we reach San Gimignano, the fortified medieval town famous for its historic and artistic heritage and its striking towers. A visit to the town, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, completes this stage of the journey.
At the end of the visit, we resume our route and return to Florence in the late afternoon.
